Meet Our Head Girls – Student Leadership at Nu Moves
We're celebrating another exciting milestone at Nu Moves Dance Studios in Livingston as we introduce our Head Girls!
Nu Moves Head Girl Emily and JHM Head Girl Abby recently came together for their very first Head Girl meeting with Jo, Julie and Jodie. It was a fantastic opportunity to share ideas, discuss plans for the year ahead and explore new ways to make our dance schools an even more positive experience for our students.
Giving Our Students a Voice
Our Head Girls have an important role within our dance school community. Emily and Abby will help represent our students, share their ideas and contribute to some of the exciting plans and events taking place throughout the year.
Their enthusiasm, creativity and passion were clear from their very first meeting — and they already have lots of ideas they can't wait to bring to life!
At Nu Moves, we believe children's dance classes should be about much more than learning steps. Dance can help young people develop confidence, friendships, teamwork, independence and leadership skills, and creating opportunities such as our Head Girl role is another way we can encourage our students to grow both inside and outside the studio.
A Friendly Face for Our Students
Emily and Abby will also be friendly and approachable faces for students across Nu Moves and JHM.
Whether that's helping a younger dancer settle into a new class, offering encouragement, sharing their own experiences or simply being someone students can talk to, our Head Girls will help us make sure every dancer feels welcome, supported and valued.
For children joining a new dance school, those little things can make a huge difference. We want Nu Moves to be somewhere students can develop their dancing while also feeling part of a supportive community.
An Exciting Year Ahead
Our first Head Girl meeting was only the beginning.
Emily and Abby already have some fantastic plans in the works, and we're looking forward to seeing their ideas develop throughout the year.
