Nu Moves has built a reputation for delivering exceptional dance training in a fun, inclusive and inspiring environment.
Whether your child dreams of performing on stage, wants to build confidence, make new friends or simply enjoy the joy of movement, there's a place for them here. We offer classes for all ages and abilities, from toddlers taking their very first dance steps to advanced dancers training for competitions, performances and professional teaching qualifications.

OUR STORY
A new chapter began for Nu Moves in 2025 when the school came under the ownership and direction of Joanne Tod, one of Scotland's most respected dance educators, an IDTA Fellow and one of only two IDTA Examiners in Scotland.
With over 25 years of experience in professional performance, teaching and dance education, Joanne brings a fresh vision while honouring everything that has made Nu Moves such a special place for local families. Her goal is simple—to create a dance school where every child feels welcome, every achievement is celebrated and every dancer is inspired to be the very best version of themselves.
Today, Nu Moves offers a wide variety of classes including Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop, Commercial, Lyrical, Jazz, Acro, Cheer, Musical Theatre, Circus Skills and Preschool programmes, alongside competition teams and nationally recognised IDTA examinations.
Our philosophy is built around progress, not perfection. We know that confidence doesn't happen overnight—it grows one class, one challenge and one achievement at a time.
